How the Personal Information Bridge Works
Three roles. One seamless system. Zero memory required by the wearer.
A bridge between the caregiver and the wearer.
PIBs by zer0™ is being developed around a simple principle: the person receiving support should not have to learn or remember how to operate another device. The planned caregiver app handles the controls, while the wearable delivers familiar voice guidance through sound, light, and vibration.
Zero memory. Zero effort.
The person with memory loss wears the PIB device — being explored as a bracelet, necklace, glasses, hat, earrings, or pocket clip. They don't set it up. They don't press buttons. They don't remember anything. The device is designed to speak to them in a familiar voice, guide them with light and vibration, and let them acknowledge with a simple squeeze.
The caregiver's planned control center.
The planned PIBcare companion app is where caregivers and family members would do everything. Record voice messages. Schedule reminders. Monitor acknowledgments. All of it happens on the caregiver's phone — the wearer never touches a setting.
Designed for zero complexity on the wearer's end.
The PIB is being designed to receive caregiver-created messages without requiring the wearer to enter passwords, navigate menus, or operate a screen. The final connectivity system, including remote communication and location capabilities, is still being engineered and evaluated.
From caregiver to wearer.
Caregiver records a voice message
The caregiver or family member records a familiar voice message in the planned PIBcare app and chooses when it should be delivered.
Caregiver schedules delivery
The caregiver selects when the message should be delivered — at a specific time or on a recurring schedule.
The PIB alerts the wearer
At the scheduled time, the PIB is designed to vibrate and light up to get the wearer's attention before playing the message.
The PIB plays the familiar voice
The PIB automatically plays the caregiver's recorded voice — familiar, comforting, and clear. The wearer hears someone they love and trust.
The wearer squeezes to acknowledge
The wearer simply squeezes the soft PIB to acknowledge the message. One gentle squeeze to say: I heard you. I'm okay.
The caregiver is notified
The planned caregiver system would report the acknowledgment — or notify the caregiver when no response is received.
Wear it your way.
The PIB device is modular — it fits into the wearer's life, not the other way around.
